Lyrics

There she goes
Carrying all my dreams
I wonder if she knows
That they’re lighter than they seem

There she is
Treading light again
Steps like gentle drops
Touching down like rain

Sometimes I think
That all I wanted was
A place to rest
A place to nest

Sometimes I think
That all I wanted was
A place to rest
A place to nest

All I’ve wanted, all I’ve wanted
A place to call home
All I’ve wanted, all I’ve wanted
A place to come back home

All I’ve wanted, all I’ve wanted
All I’ve wanted, all I’ve wanted
All I’ve wanted, all I’ve wanted

I didn’t ask for much
I never asked for much

But then I think of all the times
I was afraid, I was afraid
Coming back home to a dead silence
Fearing for the worst

And then I remember all the times
I was scared, I was scared
The heavy silence around me
What had I lost?

All I’ve wanted, all I’ve wanted
A place to call home
All I’ve wanted, all I’ve wanted
A place to come back home

I didn’t ask for much
I never asked for much

But then I think of all the times
I was afraid, I was afraid
Coming back home and it’s silent
Fearing for the worst
What had I lost?

Coming back home and it’s silent
Fearing for the worst
What had I lost?

Oh, I love this, @burrsettles! Love the western-like riffs on the guitar, the mellotron and the little arpeggio at the end. Great job on finishing the songs! And hats off to @guatecoop and @eargoggle for the solid drums and bass, it was really nice to work on this song.

Wow. Just, wow. This is so different and so much cooler than what I thought it would be, I gotta be honest! Which is more a reflection of what I thought of what I played, but damn, now everything sounds good with what everyone else played. Drums sound amazing, great vocals and lyrics from @elesimo and I love all the little extras @burrsettles threw on there, the guitar, the mellotron and that arp synth at the end....we're a prog band! Who knew?

Fantastic groove, big and energetic. The bass holds it down nicely. I like how the vocals sort of stair-step up and down, I picture someone running. The synth fade out at the end is a fun finish.

Wow, a prog 4-track. Love the drumming, and the strong, interesting structure. Seems like it'd be especially hard to work with the shifting time signatures in this medium - great job meeting the challenge! All the instruments are finding their own space in the rhythm, and the panning makes it easy to hear the calls and answers between them. The vocal is epic. So cool hearing the solo synth on the outro.

Very cool vibe in this song and it sounds amazing! It is angular with unexpected turns and twists. Great lyrics and vocals that really give it the feel of a band that you might see at CBGB’s. This was great on every track - nice job!

Ooh this one has a cool nervy energy. Love it when the four-track challenge gets @elesimo to sing! Those lyrics are really cool and perfectly fit the spacy kinda post-punk vibe.

Really cool and edgy. Again, great fidelity for a 4 track recording. Hats off to you all!

This is unique and amazing! Love how it starts out with a solid groove, then just keeps building. I keep moving back to the beginning of the track so I can hear it again. Super cool!!
