@elesimo[archived]: "For this song, I used a dictaphone to record a jam session during the first weekend of FAWM, with @phylo[archived] playing the harmonica and Ally Gale playing the piano. It sounded warm and nostalgic, and I used the recording to write A Lovely Night[archived].
I wanted to do something else with the loops, so I sent them to @cnidaria[archived] for a collaboration. She wrote the amazing lyrics, and her voice fits the atmosphere perfectly. For this track I added more harmonica from @phylo[archived], and just mixed the drums to give more space."
@cnidaria[archived]: “@elesimo[archived] sent me a couple of these found-sound samples over hip hop beats and I immediate loved it. The lyrics came easily... this sense of being numbed out in a failing relationship and looking back trying to make sense of it all. It was a pleasure to finally get to make a track with him.”
Tell me how we’re going to get ourselves out of this place Do you remember how we spent that first December Trying to think up all of the things we could be Have you forgotten how we sat through autumn Underneath all of the fallen leaves Now I won’t mind if you unwind All of my blindness wrapped up in my unkind words I really won’t mind if you would take the time To shrug away what’s understood Tell me how we’re going to get ourselves out of this place I can’t complain about that wretched May When we spun each other every which way Then summer groaned, all full of wicked woes Not fully know were so many ways we’d go The world stood still, it was waiting until We could dissolve ourselves into the breeze But pleased as hell, we might laugh or we might yell It all depends upon the waning week Tell me how we’re going to get ourselves out of this place

I like! 😀
Like the cozy lofi nostalgic feel to it and god damn those vocals are gorgeous, those weird tense turns in the song add a lot to, feels like a proper journey through different moods and it really has a lot of emotional impact.
This is really cool. You know I love a bit of lo fi, but never heard anything like this before. Excellent!
Love the lo-fi vibes. This is great. Really cool experimental stuff. Vocals are ace.
That harmonica is delicious. It adds a real homey feel to this track. I love the nostolgia & the mood you all have created on this song. @cnidaria , your lyrics & vocal delivery work perfectly with @elesimo 's backing track. Awesome collab you guys! See You In The Shadows…
