The cassette, modestly marked, had:
Standup: Which left vocals for me. But I strapped on a guitar and played little bits in between singing, using one mic/one track to pick everything up. I had to practice 10-12 times to get it right. So what I heard was straight-up 1965 garage rock, so the lyrics are in that vein, totally sexist, not at all politically correct. I've played this stuff before, that's how it was written back in the day...
I'm not gonna be your savior but I want you to do me a favor give me just a little bit of your love cuz you know it comes from up above CHORUS: You gonna give me what you got and baby you know, you got a lot I'm gonna be your friend and a little bit more come on baby you know the score ain't gonna buy you a diamond ring but you gonna give me everything I'm gonna be your paramour you know you one day gonna even up the score when I saw you walking down the street I said that's a girl I got to meet you know one day you gonna walk away but that won't be today

Brilliant stuff! That fuzz totally rules, and led to a killer song. Good work on the guitar + vox final track @standup - totally gave this what it needed!
Yeah, I think I hear zecoop breaking a drum stick there! You all brought so much swagger to this one, and the dynamics are really fun.
This rocks!! Fantastic collab.
OHMYFREAKIN'GOSHILOVETHISSOMUCH! When you send your idea on the tape you never know what will happen. This rocks so freakin' hard!! What a dream rhythm team following up on this one!!
Not surprising when you listen to the song, but I broke a drum stick playing drums on this one. I was so pumped up about it. Even with just drums and SWG guitar it was a blast. But now..... Holy crap it just totally went to its highest potential. Everyone was on top of their game for this and it is exactly what i needed to hear tonight. AWESOME!!! 😀
Oh fuck yeah. I feel like I'm listening to some awesome proto-punk band from Detroit from 1966 that nobody has ever heard from....love the fuzz guitar and the vocals and everything, love the little guitar leads in between the vocals too. Viva la 4 track!
So crunchy good!
Commented on the page. Incidentally, from a bassist to you, that is good solid bass playing that suits the garage rock feel!
Oh my, that’s the sound of great garage rock right there! Nice crunching guitars, bombastic drums, and a solid rocking bass, and some cracking lyrics/vocals. As the young ones say, “TUNE”! 😀
Good melody and lots of noisy fun. Great catchy beat.
Radio ready, this is a real rocker all the parts come together really well. The bass in particular drives along perfectly. I like the quiet section at around 2 minutes. The vocals are just right.
I love this so much! It sounds like something that would play on the radio, it's absolutely awesome! It was my second time playing the bass (the first time was also for this FAWM), so I had a really hard time following up with the tempo! I practiced for hours and I was slowly getting better, but my fingers were getting burned from sliding around, and at some point I decided I simply had to record it. Really happy with how this one turned out, you guys are amazing!
