@elesimo[archived]: this song is a random collaboration[archived] between me and @coolparadiso[archived]. It took us a while to get the collaboration started because we were both waiting on each other — totally my fault! But because of that I had a nice arrangement that I had made using @zecoop[archived]'s drums, and a chord progression for the #made-up-genre challenge (https://fawm.org/forums/topic/11055/), with a basic C G Am F progression followed by more and more random chords. And because of the wait John had these amazing lyrics about one of my favorite cities that matched the song perfectly. 😀
@coolparadiso[archived]: yes this was the serendipitous track! If we had done it when we both should it couldn't have been like this! And we like it! Bonus we even have @zecoop[archived] on the drums! It was a real collab, went back and forward a couple of times adding little bits! Was really fun and easy to work with @elisimo

@elesimo I don't have the ear to judge the specific impacts of the 6176 compressor on the guitar, but it sits nice and clear in the mix. Hope you get it back in good working order.

What a charming song, I was just reminiscing about a vacation to Amsterdam and this brings those memories all back! The playful chord changes/key changes add a lot of interest to the standard progression you started with. The low notes on the vocal sound great, love the lead guitar tone too!

Oh my, that is a lot of key changes! I like the loud, splashy drums and dirty lead guitar with the otherwise clean production.
Ooooh, a key change or two mid-song. I think about doing those every once in a while--but, thus far, mostly don't. You're very brave. Great job, guys--glad you finally got on the same page and put it together! 😀

There's something really joyous about this one. I love the really low singing at times. I'm not sure what's going on with those random chords, but it's a delightful change of pace. I love the guitar solo. I love this one. There's something so happy and kind of off kilter about it

Really interesting musical ideas as the song develops - as you say chords keep being added - a lot of fun was had by all I’m sure
Wow!! I love being in this band!! What an incredibly cool style - i am totally into whatever style this. The lofi drums sounds awesome under the piano and vocal. What a cool melody. I really loved how it went from the straight forward section to the rising chords with the voice following. It tells a great lyrical story too. This has it all. I want the whole album!
Aw, unintentional prog, that's just my jam! Love the soft vocals in this song, the deep notes are so good and cozy. The half tone chord ladders add a nice progressive touch.

This one is great, I love how more and more off-kilter it gets, it starts totally normal but by the end it's just...not. great imagery in the lyrics too!
The unintentional prog thing made me laugh! Had to go read about it on that thread. Excellent. This was a really pleasant listen, strong imagery and a nice mix. In particular I loved the line about "tatty old brown seats". Really nice stuff!
Saw you were a pixies fan! Holla! Lol this song is dope! The progressions are very cool. And do kinda give me a pixies vibe like something from bossanova or trompe le monde. The guitar is really cool and the lyrics are top notch. Really great work my friend!
