Standup: Got a tape in the mail with synth (@elesimo), vocal (@pearlmanhattan) and drums (@zecoop). What does it need? Well, bass. With tons of reverb. And after FAWM was over I was in a little music shop and picked up a lovely 8" gong. So that has to be on it too. I held the gong striker in my right hand and whacked the gong between playing bass notes. Mic was pointed at the bass amp, but the gong was in between the mic and the amp.

This is interesting... I like Nancy's description of rave in a cathedral, it's spot on. The gong brings it to another level! ๐
Truly a unique experience working out the drums, but then when it clicked... well, it still was truly unique. Nice additions with the bass and the GONG! It's got a gong!! What it needs though... is a name! It has a vibe all its own and I am not sure what that leads to, but let's name it something. ๐
I am picturing a rave in a cathedral. Plainchant and gongs in a big echo space with bubbly synth and reverb-laden bass.
Wow, this is very atmospheric and cool! Love the synth work, the wordless vocal sets a fascinating mood and the drums keep it driving on. Love that @standup managed to fit a March instrument purchase on a FAWM song, fitting that this track sounds like it'd fit onto the soundtrack of a lo-fi time travel movie...
It's done... A little weird, but aren't they all.
