I wanted to publish this yesterday for #BlackoutTuesday: a list of tech blogs written by black people.
- Blacks in Technology[archived] (feed[archived]), a community and media organization focusing on black women and black men in the technology industry. Shout-out to the great article "Ten Things I Learned In My First Year As A Developer"[archived].
- Asymptotia[archived] (feed[archived]), written by Clifford V. Johnson. It's a blog written by a scientist, which is different than a blog about science. I loved his article on his online teaching methods[archived].
- Brothatech[archived] (feed[archived]), written by Terrance Gaines, an IT professional, consultant, and personal technology specialist in Atlanta. There's a lot of relevant information, including how to sanitize your devices[archived].
- Blackandise[archived] (feed[archived]), a blog providing content marketing strategies and tech gadget reviews from blacks in technology. I specially likes the posts on what to do you with your old printers[archived] and what to do with your old cameras[archived].
- People of color in tech[archived] (feed[archived]), offering interviews, articles and job offers. There are a lot of great articles talking about the struggles of black people in tech, in particular "Why I’m not doing diversity work anymore"[archived] by Amina Adewusi[archived].
I compiled an OPML file, in case you'd like to subscribe to them all.
