Liner Notes
For this song, I used samples from a #fawmover. Ally Gale plays the piano, the background noise is from me, @littlespiral[archived], @kadiekelly[archived], @brigetboyle[archived], @phylo[archived], @mixeract[archived], Kim Dowd and Dirk Adolphs. The drums are free loops from Music Radar.
In order to make this track, I bounced 4 tracks to a 4-tape recorder. Tracks 1 and 2 were piano loops extracted from track 4, track 3 was the drum loops, and track 4 was a recording of the living room on February 1st. I then mixed the track on a Tascam 4-track, by playing with the faders, EQ, pitch control and master.

This was from that little digital recorder on the TV? This is so amazing... I remember being in that cacophony. Beautiful editing, it's got that recurring piano riff. It's just lovely.
This is so good. I love the woozy nostalgic feel of the pitch bends. I used to have a Yamaha MT4X which I really enjoyed using but one of the tape heads went and I ended up selling it for parts. Really miss it.
sounds so original, I thought I heard the sound of the wood cracking, or maybe it was just the mix that brought back those memories.

This is great. I love the worn out tape feel. The samples work really well with the funky drums. It sounds a little bit DJ Shadow, which is never a bad thing!
