This song started with @phylo[archived] sending me a couple of MIDI tracks, together with the audio for them, and a drum track. Instead of using the audio for the MIDI tracks I decided to add different instruments: I replaced the original arpeggiator with a simple piano soundfont, and I decided to use a new synth that I had been playing with (Vital) to the second track. After that, all I had to do was add some guitar and vocals to make a song that I'm proud of. 😀
She feels the wind Cold in her bones She holds her hands Deep inside her pockets She hears her thoughts And she wonders why she’s there She knows it’s late Cause the moon is shining bright She knows it’s pointless There’s no one behind that door She knows her name And her name is loneliness She holds her thoughts She hears the wind She feels the time running out She hears her name Or was it just the wind? She hears her name Her name is loneliness

The beginning of this song is just so eerily beautiful, and then the drums start and it takes off! Somehow has a slight prog feel to me, maybe the drums in combination with the vocals. Nicely done!
WOW just WOW the bridge felt so emotional, the lyrics are great, and you sang it very well!
MIDI can be great for giving yourself choices. The piano really works here. The drums are tight and the guitar is badass. But the vocals are so good! And great lyrics. Excellent!
Wow, I'm completely blown away. It's epic! I love the words and I love the performance. Totally worth waiting for... well done my friend.
Nice job - cinematic intro leading to urgent verses and a biiiig chorus - it all works well. Enjoyed my listen. Suggestion: maybe turn the drums up a bit in the mix?
You should be proud of this song. It’s a good one, from the rich intro to the heavy feel of the vocal section. Great lyrics. Her name is loneliness!
Ooooh...love the mournful strings from the start! Awesome picture of this lonely woman. Very cool.
Those drums really kick in I love that! The "Her name is loneliness" is a great line.
Lovely mellow string intro. Sets the mood nicely. Very strong emotionally charged vocal performance. Enjoyed the listen.
Pretty cool song, it's like a "classic" rock kind of song in m ears, sort of seventies or eighties rock band stuff. Turn it up to eleven!
